Justice and Judah are currently enrolled in privat Justice and Judah are currently enrolled in private training lessons at our Training Center. Justice is a 6 year old Golden Retriever who completed obedience training with us when he was a puppy. He recently lost his canine sibling and received a new one - Judah. He has been struggling with anxiety due to the recent events. Judah is in training to learn his obedience skills and appropriate play skills Justice. Sarah, the rescued Great Pyrenees Mix, recently co Sarah, the rescued Great Pyrenees Mix, recently completed our behavior modification program. She was showing signs of anxiety and distress when being left alone in her new home. We implemented enrichment activities, counter-conditioning, desensitization, and obedience training. She is now settled into her new home and loving being a part of the family. She learned her obedience cues and loves her new human siblings. This 1 hour workshop will introduce your dog to agility obstacles such as the A-frame, weaves, tunnel, jumps, dog walk and more! The cost is $45/dog. ✅ Classes take place at our training center located at 131 James Comeaux Rd, Lafayette La 70508. ✅ Proof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian, a negative fecal, and flea prevention are needed to attend class. Puppies need 2 rounds of vaccines given by a veterinarian. ✅ All classes are taught with positive reinforcement based methods, we do not use any choke, prong, or shock collars.
Bellie, the 12 year old rescue American Staffordsh Bellie, the 12 year old rescue American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, recently had a behavior consultation. Her owners were looking for a fun activity to do with her as a senior dog. They wanted to see if she would like Nosework and she took it it with ease! She is reactive to other dogs and had so much fun at her private lesson being imprinted on odor and learning how to develop hunt drive. We also discussed behavioral changes that can occur related to aging, enrichment, and introduced her to the "bunker protocol" to help calm her with her thunderstorm anxiety. It was such a fun session. Dogs can learn new skills at any age and training excercises can help keep our senior dogs mobile and sharp. Mochi, the 1 year old Husky Mix, recently complete Mochi, the 1 year old Husky Mix, recently completed Reactive Rover training. He struggles with frustration based leash reactivity. He is extremely friendly and energetic. He made fantastic strides in training using the "look at that" protocol and reinforcing calm behaviors in the presence of triggers. He will also be coming to stay for board and train in October to work on his house manners.
