Lagniappe, the 4 year old Lab Mix, recently comple

Lagniappe, the 4 year old Lab Mix, recently completed his private training lessons for behavior modification. Lagniappe went jumped through a window in December when displaying reactivity to birds outside of the house. He injured his leg badly and required stitches. He also stopped getting in the car after the surgery. We implemented management, reactivity training, doggy daycare, and enrichment activities to fulfill his needs. We learned that Lagniappe's refusal to get into the vehicle was pain related. We ensured that he took pain medication prescribed by his veterinarian in days when he would need to ride in the car. We also taught him that getting in the car resulted in high value treats. He's made great progress with training.
