Muffin, the 9 month old Labrador Retriever, is cur Muffin, the 9 month old Labrador Retriever, is currently enrolled in private training lessons with Vikki. He's quite the handful and a spunky teenager. He is in training to stop his destructive behaviors and learn his obedience cues. He needs and craves tons of physical activity, as well as mental enrichment. We have implemented daily walks, fetch, and obedience training. He is also just now learning boundaries in his teenage era and we are utilizing time out to reinforce his boundaries. He's very sweet. We will cover auto sits for greeting, anti-jump exercises, and staying on a bed with distractions. ✅The cost is $45/dog. ✅Classes take place at our training center located at 131 James Comeaux Rd, Lafayette La 70508. ✅ Proof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian, a negative fecal, and flea prevention are needed to attend class. Puppies need 2 rounds of vaccines given by a veterinarian.
Tux, the 3 year old Border Collie Mix, is currentl Tux, the 3 year old Border Collie Mix, is currently enrolled in private training lessons with Vikki for behavior modification. He recently growled at his 3 year old human sibling and his owners wanted to be proactive. His family welcomed twin newborns to the household a few months ago and Tux has been showing increased signs of stress, anxiety, and fear with the new additions. We have implemented management, muzzle conditioning, desensitization, counter-conditioning, and structured training sessions to help decrease Tux's anxiety. He is feeling much better and having less anxiety. Scout and Nala are currently enrolled in private t Scout and Nala are currently enrolled in private training lessons at our Training Center for behavior modification. They are 3 year old rescue dogs and struggle with littermate syndrome, excessive barking, reactivity, and fear based behaviors. We have implemented daily enrichment, desensitization, and counter-conditioning to help reduce their stress and fear reactive behaviors. They are also building confidence with obedience training. 📢Join us for our ADULT CLASS starting NEXT Wedn 📢Join us for our ADULT CLASS starting NEXT Wednesday night @ 7:30 pm! 📲Enroll here: https://lafayettedogtrainer.com/enrollment-form/ 🐶 This is a 4 week course for dogs and puppies 6 months and older. Class meets the same day and time each week for 4 weeks. Your puppy will learn eye contact, sit, down, come, stay, leave it, loose leash walking, go to bed. We will also discuss how to address jumping, chewing, barking, and digging. 📌 The cost is $175/dog. SPACE IS LIMITED!!!
Frankie, the 5 year old Mixed Breed rescue dog, is Frankie, the 5 year old Mixed Breed rescue dog, is currently enrolled in behavior modification training with Vikki. He is struggling with separation anxiety and extremely progressed resource guarding. We are implementing daily walks to increase excercise and counter-conditioning of the triggers that predict his pet parent leaving. Due to the progressed state of his resource guarding we decided against using puzzle toys or recreational chews. We are implementing a management protocol for resource guarding and doing daily training involving counter-conditioning when someone approaches him near a trigger. Being that his resource guarding is progressed he guards his food bowl, the location where food and treats are kept, areas where he has enjoyed bones, and his owner.
