DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to take your Scent Work training to the next level? Join us for this EXCITING 3 hour workshop! \nWe will be going over all the Novice Element searches for AKC Scent Work. Searches in AKC Scent Work are completed in a variety of environments\, known as “Elements.” The Elements in AKC Scent Work are: \nContainer: The target odor is concealed within a container (such as a cardboard box or briefcase)\, and the dog must indicate in which container the scent is hidden.\nInterior: The target odor is concealed on or in an object in an indoor search area.\nExterior: The target odor is concealed on or in an object in an outdoor search area–this requires the dog to locate the scent despite changing airflow patterns\, weather conditions\, and natural distractions.\nBuried: The target odor is concealed within a small container and then buried underneath the ground. \nDogs ARE REQUIRED to wait their turn during the workshop and are worked one at a time. Please bring a crate\, crate cover\, and stuffed kong for your dog\, especially if your dog is fearful or reactive. \nPREREQUISITE: Dogs should be familiar with searching for the target odor – Birch. \nThe cost is $75/dog. DESCRIPTION:Workshop is taught by Vikki Bourgeois\, CBCC-KA\, CPDT-KA\, CTDI. \nDoes your dog jump on guest to greet them? Do they tend to jump on the kids or the counter to steal food? If so\, then THIS is the workshop for you! \nThis hour long workshop will address how to use foundation skills to curb your dog’s jumping habit. We will cover auto sits for greeting\, anti-jump exercises\, and staying on a bed with distractions. \nThis workshop is open to all dog’s and puppies ages 10 weeks and older. Proof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian\, a negative fecal\, and flea prevention are needed to attend class. If so\, then THIS is the workshop for you!  \nWe will teach you safe\, stress free\, and effective methods to teach your dog to not only tolerate handling\, but enjoy it. We will cover preparing your dog for procedures such as: veterinary exams\, blood draws\, nail trims\, ear/eye exams\, taking medications\, injections\, mouth exams and teeth brushing.  \nWe will cover new cues for your dog such as chin & nose targeting\, stand\, settling on a  mat\, and muzzle conditioning.   \nProof of current vaccinations given by a veterinarian\, a negative fecal\, and flea prevention are needed to attend class.
